Fritz Bouillon

Fritz Bouillon (born October 28, 1903 in Königsberg , † after 1983) was a German football referee .

Life

Bouillon began his career in 1919 as a football player at SpVgg ASCO Königsberg . Together with his brother Paul Bouillon , the slender left winger had his premiere in 1920 in a league game of the youth team against local rivals MTV Ponarth , which the " Ascoten " won 10-0. The Bouillon brothers were instrumental in the victory through several goals.

Bouillon began his career as a referee at the age of 25 (“ by pure chance ”). Bouillon conducted his first game in 1928 with the city game Königsberg - Danzig.

It had its international premiere on July 20, 1938, when he was used as referee in the friendly match between Estonia and Latvia . From September 3 to 5, 1938 Bouillon was the referee of all the games of the 10th Baltic Cup in Tallinn , where he was carried by the spectators after the final whistle in the host's last game against the Estonians.

During his almost 30-year active career, he directed around 1,000 games, in addition to compulsory and friendly matches in East Prussia and after the war in the Federal Republic of Germany, four international matches and various international friendly matches. The highlight of his referee career was on July 4, 1942, leading the final of the German championship between FC Schalke 04 and First Vienna FC 1894 .

From 1942 to 1943, Bouillon was chairman of the SpVgg ASCO association.

After the war, Bouillon settled with his family and his mother in Sandbrink , Diepholz district , and directed several league games in the Oberliga Nord , the top German division at the time. He was also on the road for the North German Football Association as a hiking instructor for referee training in the association's territory.

In 1949 Bouillon moved to Marburg and joined VfL 1860 Marburg . From then on he worked for the South German Football Association and until 1953 headed games of the Oberliga Süd . On March 5, 1950 Bouillon had to cancel the game VfR Mannheim against Stuttgarter Kickers after 75 minutes after the Kickers players left the field after the goal to make it 5-2.

After his active career, he worked as a referee apprentice in Gießen and Marburg.

Both on his 75th birthday and on his 80th birthday, the city council of Marburg paid tribute to the athlete and referee in front of numerous guests in the large conference room of the town hall.

He last lived in Marburg with his wife Christel Bouillon.
