Fritz Maurischat (born December 16, 1901 , † August 27, 1974 ) was a German soccer player and soccer coach.

career

As a player and beginning as a coach

As a player, he was first active in his hometown of Berlin with Minerva 93 . There he played in the first team at the age of 17. He joined Eintracht Frankfurt in February 1928 via the stations Sportfreunde 04 Frankfurt and Germania 94 Frankfurt . With the South German runner-up he took part in the final round of the German soccer championship. He ran on July 8, 1928 in the second round away game against SpVgg. Cologne-Sülz for harmony. As a left defender, he could not prevent a 3-1 defeat. In the summer of 1929 he moved to Westmark 05 Trier and later returned to Berlin to join Minerva and Lufthansa Berlin. A knee injury ended his playing career.

Under the direction of the DFB Reich trainer Otto Nerz, he had completed his training as a soccer teacher and trained from 1941 to 1942 at Lufthansa SG Berlin and after the end of the Second World War he was already working as a trainer at SG Neukölln in 1946/47. This was followed by other coaching stations at Lufthansa Berlin, SG Prenzlauer Berg and Tennis Borussia , where he was able to celebrate the championship in 1949/50 and then changed from 1950 to 1952 as head coach from Waldhof Mannheim to the soccer Oberliga Süd . He returned to the Spandauer SV in Berlin for the 1952/53 round and from 1953 he again took over the “Veilchen” from Tennis Borussia.

During his time at Tennis Borussia, he also trained the school, youth and junior teams alongside the contract players. He won the Berlin Junior Championship twice with TeBe in 1954 and 1955. Team members of this championship team were his twin sons Armin and Horst. After a falling out with TeBe, he and his family moved back to southern Germany in January 1956, when he took over 1. FC Bamberg in the Bavarian amateur camp. He was champion in 1957 and 1958 and led Bamberg at the end of the round in 1957/58 successfully in the 2nd League South. For the round in 1958/59 he returned to Berlin and took over Tasmania Berlin in Neukölln .

Success era with Tasmania, 1958 to 1963

The coach called "Napoleon" immediately won the championship in the Berlin Contract League with the team from Neukölln in the Contract League Berlin 1958/59 . The title win succeeded with one point ahead of Spandauer SV. In the final round of the German championship , “Tas” represented the colors of Berlin with considerable performances against the rivals Kickers Offenbach, Hamburger SV and Westfalia Herne. In the 2-2 home draw against the later finalists from Offenbach, 70,000 spectators were witnesses in the Olympic Stadium , in the 0-2 home defeat against Hamburger SV with the two-time goalscorer Uwe Seeler , 90,000 spectators were in the stadium. Tasmania attacked in the majority of the games with Wolfgang Neumann , Peter Engler , Helmut Fiebach , Armin Mauruschat and Harry Pinkpank .

In the following year 1959/60 the title was defended and the third championship success came in the world championship year 1961/62 . In addition, the coach was also successful three times in the Berlin Cup from 1961 to 1963 .

After Tasmania had not been nominated for the first round of the 1963/64 Bundesliga , the coach resigned angrily and let it end at SC Gatow in Berlin's amateur football.
