Fritz Schürmann

Fritz Schürmann , baptismal name Friedrich Schürmann , also Fritz Schuremann (born February 27, 1863 in Düsseldorf ; † 1927 ), was a German animal and hunting painter from the Düsseldorf School .

Life

In the school years 1879 to 1882, Schürmann attended the Düsseldorf Art Academy . There were Hugo Crola and Heinrich Lauenstein his teachers. As a private student of Carl Friedrich Deiker, he perfected himself in animal and hunting painting, which became his profession. Schürmann remained active in Düsseldorf until his death. There he belonged to the artists' association Malkasten .
