Fritz Schori

Fritz Schori (born November 12, 1887 in Mühleberg , Canton Bern , † February 18, 1971 in Sumiswald , Canton Bern) was a Swiss composer , conductor and music publisher . As a composer he also uses the pseudonyms A. Duroc, MH Forster, J. Friedrich, J. Marquis and J. Meister.

He grew up in Biel , Switzerland , and worked there in Stadtmusik for thirty years as a musician and vice conductor. He was also a conductor at the Twann and Täuffelen music associations, the Port Nidau music society and the Blue Cross Music in Biel . As a composer he was self-taught and founded his own publishing house for his works in 1934.
