Stubborn Fronæus
Sture Adolf Fronæus (born October 23, 1916 in Borås , † November 2009 in Lund ) was a Swedish chemist .
Fronæus studied at Lund University and took his licentiate exam there in 1947 . With his thesis he disputed the complex system hos koppar: en potentiometrisk, Spektrofotometrisk och polarimetrisk undersökning and in 1949 became a doctor of chemistry. In Lund he was appointed professor of chemistry in 1958. From 1964 to 1982 Fronæus held a professorship in organic chemistry . In 1954 he became a member of the Royal Physiographical Society in Lund and in 1974 a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences .
