The Fry Peak is a turn 2400 m high and pointed mountain in Palmer land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is the southernmost point of the Welch Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it in 1974. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1976 after Lieutenant Frederick M. Fry of the United States Navy , surgeon and member of the parachute rescue team for Air Force Squadron VXE-6 during Operation Deep Freeze in 1969 and 1970.
