Pretty Cure is the German title of a two squadrons Japanese Anime - television series . In Japan , the first 49 episodes were known under the title Futari wa Pretty Cure or Futari wa PreCure ( ふ た り は プ リ キ ュ ア , Futari wa PuriKyua , dt. About "Two of us are Pretty Cure"), while the sequel includes 47 episodes , as Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart or Futari wa PreCure Max Heart ( ふ た り は プ リ キ ュ ア Max Heart, Futari wa PuriKyua Max Heart , dt. about "Two of us are Pretty Cure - full of heart").

Pretty Cure is part of the Pretty Cure franchise , a complex of anime television series and films belonging to the magical girl genre.

Futari wa Pretty Cure

The two girls Nagisa Misumi ( 美墨なぎさ , Misumi Nagisa ) and Honoka Yukishiro ( 雪城ほのか , Yukishiro Honoka ) had until a shooting star showers over Tokyo descends nothing to do with each other. So they get mobile-like devices independently of each other in which the beings Mipple ( ミ ッ プ ル , Mippuru ) and Mepple ( メ ッ プ ル , Meppuru ) from the garden of light live. Mipple and Mepple explain to Nagisa and Honoka that it is their job to transform themselves into the "Protectors of Light" (English "Pretty Cure") and the "Rainbow Garden" (the earth) and the "Garden of Light" (the World from which Mipple and Mepple come) to protect from the demons. In addition to this adventure, the girls also have to master their normal everyday life. Nagisa is called "Cure Black" while Honoka is called "Cure White".

Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart

Pretty Cure receive help from Hikari Kūjō ( 九 条 ひ か り , Kūjō Hikari ), part of the Queen of Light. During an attack, it broke into 13 parts. Twelve parts became little fairies (the Heartiels) and contain the Queen's memory. The 13th part is Hikari, whose first name means something like "light" and has no memories. Little Hikaru - a part of the Yaaku-King, to whom the same thing happened to the queen when he was defeated - is Hikari's brother. The girls' rainbow bracelets are being replaced by new, stronger bracelets, the "Sparkle Bracelets".

Origin and publications

The first two series of the Pretty Cure series were produced by Toei Animation from 2004 to 2006 and broadcast on the Japanese television station TV Asahi . Directed by Daisuke Nishio and character design by Akira Inagami. The first season, Futari wa Pretty Cure , was broadcast from February 1, 2004 to January 30, 2005 with a total of 49 episodes. The sequel Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart was also broadcast on TV Asahi from February 6, 2005 to January 29, 2006 and comprised 47 episodes.

The series has been translated into English, Spanish and Italian, among others. It was broadcast in Spanish by Cuatro , Jetix España and Televisa Canal 5, and in Italy by RaiDue. The anime was also televised in South Korea and Taiwan .

Only the first season of Pretty Cure was broadcast in German on RTL II in September 2005 . Universum Anime released the first 24 episodes from December 5, 2005 to September 4, 2006 on six DVDs.

Two films have been released for Pretty Cure: (Eiga) Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart ( 映 画 ふ た り は プ リ キ ュ ア Max Heart, dt. "The film: We're Pretty Cure for two - full of heart") that took place on April 16, 2005 in Japan Cinema started. The film stayed in the Japanese top 10 cinema for five weeks and grossed just under 874 million yen (approx. 6.2 million euros). The closing title of the movie, Kokoro no CHIKARA , was sung by Shizuka Kudo.
