Gómez Suárez de Figueroa y Córdoba, 3rd Duke of Feria , 2nd Marques of Villalva, 1st Count of Zafra, (born December 30, 1587 in Guadalajara , † January 14, 1634 in Munich ) was a Spanish statesman and general in the thirties War (see Naval Warfare on Lake Constance 1632–1648 ).

He was the son of Lorenzo IV. Suárez de Figueroa y Córdoba and his third wife Isabel de Mendoza, daughter of the Duke of Infantado. He followed his father as Duke of Feria and Margrave of Villalba.

He was Spanish governor of the Duchy of Milan from 1618 to 1627 and again from 1631 to 1634 . His political career took place in important positions, he was ambassador to Rome (1607) and Paris (1610), viceroy of Valencia (1616), viceroy and captain general of Catalonia (1629) and member of the council of war. The Duke of Feria was also known for his military actions related to the Thirty Years War and was considered one of the last capable military men of the Hispanic monarchy alongside Spinola .

His first marriage was Francisca de Córdoba, daughter of Antonio Fernández de Córdoba Cardona y Recqueséns, 4th Duke of Soma, 5th Duke of Sessa, 5th Duke of Terranova, 5th Duke of Santángelo, 3rd Duke of Baena ( house Folch de Cardona ). In his second marriage he married Ana Fernández de Córdoba, daughter of Alfonso Fernández de Córdoba y Figueroa, el Mudo, 5th Marques de Priego.

When Gómez died of typhus in Munich in 1634 , he passed his titles on to his son Lorenzo V. Suárez de Figueroa y Córdoba.
