Günter Lenitzki

Günter Lenitzki (born September 23, 1925 in Bochum , † January 30, 2009 in Bad Berka ) was a German politician ( SED ). He was chairman of the District Party Control Commission Gera of the SED.

Life

Lenitzki, the son of an elementary school teacher, attended elementary school , learned to be a lathe operator and then worked in the profession. During the Second World War he was drafted into the armed forces for military service in 1943.

After the war he worked as a farm laborer . In 1945 he became a member of the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) and in 1946 of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED). From 1946 he was a functionary of the Association of Mutual Farmers Aid (VdgB) in Thuringia . From 1946 to 1950 he worked as head of the agriculture department of the SED state management in Thuringia. In 1950 he became secretary of the works party organization of the Sondershausen potash works . From 1951 to 1955 he was the first secretary of the SED district leadership in Saalfeld . From 1957 to 1960 he attended the party college "Karl Marx" with a degree in social science. He then worked from 1961 to 1965 as first secretary of the SED district leadership in Greiz and from June 1965 to February 1976 as first secretary of the SED district leadership in Gera-Stadt . From March 1967 he was a member of the secretariat of the Gera district leadership of the SED. From March 1976 to December 1987 Lenitzki was finally chairman of the SED district party control commission Gera. Lenitzki was also a member of the Gera District Assembly .
