Günter Ogger
Günter Ogger (born April 25, 1941 in Ulm ) is a German business journalist and writer .
Life
Günter Ogger completed his training as a journalist at the Rems-Zeitung in Schwäbisch Gmünd , after having previously completed an apprenticeship as a bookseller . He was an editor at the technology magazine Hobby , worked on various projects by Hans Gamber , was an editor at Capital , then editor-in-chief of the technology magazine High Tech . He developed several magazines such as the language magazine Spotlight and business newspapers such as Netto , a business newspaper commissioned by the Handelsblatt Group , which was intended to appeal to a young target group, but which for internal reasons did not get beyond the zero number. Ogger lives in Munich.
Focus
He became known in 1971 with his Flick biography Friedrich Flick the Great and the historical business crime story published in 1978: Buy yourself an emperor . The greatest successes were Rivets in Pinstripe and Das Kartell der Kassier , both in 1993 and 1994 at number one on the Spiegel bestseller list. His title Die Ego-AG is dedicated to the topics of fraud in the banking sector , balance sheet falsification in US companies as well as the subject of balance sheet falsification in general.
criticism
In 1994 he came into the public eye because investigations against him for tax evasion had started, which were later discontinued. Critically - and in the Spiegel polemics and malice typical of the time - the Hamburg news magazine stated that Ogger would take the information used in his business books from archives, so he was not an investigative journalist . The time assisted him a feeling for topics as well as a narrative talent.
