Günter Saalmann

Günter Saalmann (born June 29, 1936 in Waldbröl ) is a German writer and musician .

Life

Günter Saalmann studied Slavic Studies in Leipzig after graduating from high school , but could not finish his studies. He worked as a tram conductor and clerk, acquired a skilled workers' certificate as a utility applicant at night school and wrote song lyrics. In 1962 he passed the professional music examination as a jazz trombonist.

From 1973 to 1976 he studied at the Institute for Literature "Johannes R. Becher" . From 1978, he joined together with jazz guitarist Helmut "Joe" axis " in. 1983, this program was at Litera as LP published ( Po (e) saunas hour for children from 92 to 174 cm ). In the period of political transformation of the GDR , he was Spokesman in the New Forum Chemnitz.

Günter Saalmann works as a freelance author and musician in Chemnitz . He publishes prose and poetry . Individual works by him were u. a. translated into French and Spanish. Günter Saalmann is a member of the Saxon Writers' Association and member of the board of the VS ( Association of German Writers ) Saxony.
