Günter Schlichting-von Rönn

Günter Schlichting von Rönn (born April 13, 1914 in Kiel , † April 1, 1976 in Otterndorf ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1932, Schlichting-von Rönn did a six-month commercial apprenticeship and then studied economics for three semesters. In 1934 he became an officer candidate in the Navy . In the years 1939 to 1945 he made it to the rank of captain lieutenant and was taken prisoner of war. After the war he was a self-employed farmer until 1956 and then joined the German Navy ( frigate captain ). After his service he became mayor and deputy district administrator of Hadeln and district chairman of the CDU Neuhaus (Oste) .

MP

Schlichting-von Rönn ran for the Bundestag on the CDU's Lower Saxony state list in 1965 and 1969 , but was not elected on both occasions. After the death of MP Maria Henze, he succeeded her in the Bundestag on April 17, 1972 and remained there until the end of the legislative period on September 22, 1972.
