Günter Warda
Heinz-Günter Warda (born February 22, 1926 in Groß Rominten , East Prussia ; † September 2, 2016 ) was a German law scholar and university professor . Until his retirement in 1994 he taught criminal law at the Ruhr University in Bochum .
Life
Warda received his doctorate in 1953 at the University of Cologne with a thesis on "The demarcation of factual and prohibitive errors in blanket penal laws". In 1961 he completed his habilitation - also in Cologne - with a paper on “Dogmatic Basics of Judicial Discretion in Criminal Law”. Warda is a student of the Cologne criminal lawyer Richard Lange .
Immediately after his habilitation, Warda was appointed professor at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg . In 1965 he moved to the Ruhr University in Bochum, which was still under construction at the time.
Günter Warda was the academic teacher of the Trier criminal lawyer Volker Krey .
