Goichi Suda
Gōichi Suda ( Japanese 須 田 剛 一 , Suda Gōichi ; born January 2, 1968 in Nagano ), also known as Suda51 , is a Japanese video game designer. Out of his titles released outside of Japan, some of the better known are killer7 , No More Heroes , Lollipop Chainsaw and Killer Is Dead .
Prior to working in the video game industry, Suda was employed in a morgue - a job he didn't like. He successfully applied for a job advertisement from the video game developer Human Entertainment and initially worked on the scenario for the title Super Fire Pro Wrestling 3: Final Bout from the Fire Pro Wrestling series . He later developed the titles of the Sydrome series. In 1998 he left Human and founded his own company, Grasshopper Manufacture , to implement his ideas , the first title of which, Silver Jiken ( シ ル バ ー 事件 , Shirubā Jiken ), was published in October 1999. Grasshopper currently has 48 employees (as of March 2008) and Suda is still the Chief Executive Officer ( CEO ).
Gōichi Suda also often spells his name in the form Suda51 , which is a play on words: gō is close to go (with a short o), the Japanese word for five , and ichi is the Japanese word for one .
