Huvadhu Atholhu Uthuruburi ( North Huvadhu Atoll ), with the Thaana short name ގއ( Gaafu Alif or Gaafu Alifu ), is an administrative atoll ( district ) in the south of the Maldives .

It covers the northern part of the great Huvadhu Atoll . The population is around 8,000 (as of 2006).

10 islands are inhabited, in addition to the administrative capital on the island of Viligili (1,976 inhabitants) these are Dhaandhoo , Dhevvadhoo , Dhiyadhoo , Gemanafushi , Kanduhulhudhoo , Kondey , Kolamaafushi , Maamendhoo and Nilandhoo . The district comprises a total of 82 islands.

To the north, about 97 km away, is the province of Laamu . In the south, the Gaafu Dhaalu province , which includes the southern part of the Huvadhu Atoll, is immediately adjacent.
