Gabby Young (* 1984 in Bath , England ) is a British singer-songwriter , guitarist and band leader.

At twelve, Gabby Young was the youngest ever member of the UK National Youth Opera . As a child she learned the piano, violin and saxophone. In 2005 and 2006 she released her first solo albums ( Free Second Memory and Mole ). Since 2007 she has been working with her band Other Animals , an eight-person formation that unites gypsy , folk , rock and jazz and combines them with a cabaret style. The band members Stephen Ellis, Adam Lucas, Charlie Wren, Phil Donnelly, Rory Shaw, Marek Slowik and Yusuf Narcin play numerous instruments such as trumpet , trombone , banjo , piano and clarinet . Their debut album We're All In This Together first came out in 2010 on the band's own label Gift of the Gab Records . Download successes and appearances, for example at the Glastonbury Festival in summer 2010, resulted in a record deal with the World Connection label and a new edition of the album.
