Gable Garenamotse

Gable Garenamotse (born February 28, 1977 in Gumare ) is a Botswana athlete who specializes in the long jump.

He started his career as a triple jumper . In this discipline he finished sixth at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur. He then focused on the long jump and won the silver medal at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester and the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

In August 2006 he improved the Botswana national record in the long jump to 8.27 m in Rhede . While he missed the finals at the 2007 World Athletics Championships in Osaka, he won the title at the Pan-African Games in Algiers in the same year. The following season he was fourth at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Valencia in 2008 and ninth at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. At the 2009 World Athletics Championships in Berlin, he finished seventh.

Gable Garenamotse is 1.83 m tall and has a competition weight of 75 kg. He attended Cardiff University .
