Gaetano Gandolfi
Gaetano Gandolfi (* the 30th August 1734 in Matteo della Decima , † the 30th June 1802 in Bologna ) was an Italian painter and engraver of the rococo .
Gaetano is considered to be the most important member of the Gandolfi family of engravers from Bologna. His style was influenced by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo , whom he met while in Venice . From 1780 to 1783 he made the ceiling fresco Raub der Proserpina , which is located in the salon of the Palazzo Fioresi-Cazoni in Genoa and reflects the Venetian rococo style.
