Gala von Reichenfels (* 1960 in Berlin ; born Gabriela Ribow; bourgeois Gabriela Kowarsch) is a German painter , sculptor and "Lochist" - a new style of sculpture she developed in Fürth in mid-2015 - Lochismus .

Life

From 1989 to 1999 she lived in Hamburg . From 1996 to 1997 she took lessons from Jörg Uhlig (lecturer for free painting). In 2001 she moved to Berlin-Kreuzberg and went into self-employment as a freelance artist under the real name of Gabriela Ribow . In 2003 she attended a degree or a visit to the sculpture school of Wladimir Dadon in the RAW-Tempel Berlin Friedrichshain , where she learned realistic sculpture . From 2003 to 2008 she had further developments in sculpture, she made small sculptures from alabaster , which were offered by the gallery owner Carlos Hulsch, as well as large sculptures for the panometer artist Jadegar Asisi in collaboration with the sculptor Volker Dierkes in Berlin-Kreuzberg, Atelierhaus Adalbertstraße 82 b. In 2007 she was accepted as a full member of the Berlin Artists' Association . From 2010 to 2013 she was a board member of the Berlin Artists' Association.

When she moved to Berlin-Neukölln in 2009, she became a male nude painter. At this time she met Joachim Kiau, he introduced her to the history of the Airlift and aroused her interest in the Allied museums and their associations. Joachim Kiau became their "Airlift Ambassador". By handing over her work to these institutions, she helped to keep the population interested in the difficult time of the Airlift. In the press she is also called the "artist of the airlift". In 2011, the artist name Gala von Reichenfels was entered in her identification documents .

In 2013 she moved to Nuremberg because of love and married the master carpenter Karlheinz Kowarsch in 2016.

Your sculptor's workplace is in the Kowarsch joinery in Fürth . There she has been combining painting with sculpture since 2015. She invented a new art statement by using holes drilled in MDF panels and colored surfaces, as well as background lighting with modern LED lighting , which she calls lochism . Lochism is a word created by the artist, formed by the contraction of the words Loch and Ist. It describes an art expression in which visual artists deal with the creation and design of holes. With her luminous spatial objects, Gala von Reichenfels wants to tie in with the tradition of the mandala of Buddhism, which has a religious meaning in cult practice. The artist sees the extension of this in her meditation objects. From religion to art and new interior design for everyone.
