Galatea and Acis
The Fontaine Médicis in the Parisian Jardin du Luxembourg was designed by Salomon de Brosse in 1620 , but it was not until 1866 that statues by Auguste Ottin were added. Although this fountain is not a galate fountain in the strict sense, it is one of the best known, in which the nymph Galatea appears as a central fountain figure.
