Howard Deutch

Howard Deutch (born September 14, 1950 in New York City ) is an American film director .

life and career

He made his debut as a film director in 1986 with the comedy film Pretty in Pink . A year later Isn't she wonderful? , also a comedy. More were to follow, but Deutch was and is not exclusively limited to the comedy genre. From 1989 to 1990 he directed two episodes of the horror series Tales from the Crypt . In 1992 he directed the pilot episode of the television series Melrose Place . In 1997 he made the video for Billy Joel's song Keeping The Faith . In addition, he directed the sequels of various films. In 1995, for example, The Third Spring - Friends, Enemies, Fish & Women was the first sequel to Ein verrücktes Paar , in 2004 Deutch directed No Half Things 2 - Now even more! , a sequel to No Half Things from 2000. Since 2011 he has mainly worked for television and directs one or more episodes of various television series.

Howard Deutch has been married to the American actress Lea Thompson since 1989 ; their two daughters Madelyn and Zoey Deutch are also active in the acting business.
