Galimsjan Salichowitsch Chussainow ( Russian Галимзян Салихович Хусаинов ; Tatar Галимҗан Хөсәенов * 27. June 1937 in Novoye Iglaikino , Tatar ASSR , † 5. February 2010 in Moscow ) was a Russian footballer of Tatar origin, especially for his time at Spartak Moscow is known .
life and career
Galimsjan Chussainow was born in Novoje Iglaikino , Tatarstan , in 1937 . He began playing football at Dynamo Kuibyshev, the 1.64 meter tall striker began his professional career in 1957 with Krylya Sowetov Kuibyshev , then a Soviet first division team . In 1960 he was called up for the first time in the Soviet national team .
After three seasons he was finally signed by the then record champions Spartak Moscow . There "Gilja", as Chussainov was often called, quickly became a regular player and was able to become Soviet champions in 1962 with his team , in 1963 he also won the Soviet Cup with Spartak . In 1965 he was able to win the cup again. With the national team, Chussainow was able to celebrate his greatest success at the European Football Championship in 1964 , when he reached the final with the team, but ultimately lost to Spain 2-1. Chussainow scored the goal for the Soviet team and achieved the interim equalization. At the Football World Cup in 1966 , Chussainow was able to achieve fourth place with the national team.
In 1969 he was again Soviet champion with Spartak Moscow, in 1971 he was able to win the Soviet Cup again with his club. In 1973 he finally ended his active playing career. In Spartak Moscow's internal record scorer list, Chussainow is now third with 102 goals, behind Nikita Simonjan and Sergei Rodionow .
Then Chussainow was still active as an assistant coach at various clubs, including Spartak Nalchik , his old club Spartak Moscow and most recently (1980-1982) at Pachtakor Tashkent . He then finally withdrew from football.
In 2010 Galismyan Chussianov died in Moscow of atrophy from which he had suffered for 15 years. He was buried in the Danilov Cemetery.
