Gallium (III) telluride is an inorganic chemical compound of gallium from the group of tellurides and, along with gallium (II) telluride, one of the well-known gallium tellurides.

Extraction and presentation

Gallium (III) telluride can be obtained by reacting gallium with tellurium .

It is also possible to display it by reacting gallium (III) oxide or gallium (III) hydroxide with hydrogen tellurium .

properties

Gallium (III) telluride is a black, hard and fairly brittle solid with a crystal structure of the zinc blende type (a = 590.6 pm) or with an orthorhombic superstructure (a = 417 pm, b = 2360 pm, c = 1252 pm) .
