The Gallsworthyryggen ( Norwegian ) is a small mountain in the East Antarctic Coatsland . It looms in the Pioneers Escarpment in the far east of the Shackleton Range .
Scientists at the Norwegian Polar Institute named him in 1990 after John M. Gallsworthy (* 1940) of the British Antarctic Survey , who worked as a carpenter from 1967 to 1968 at Halley Station and in 1970 in South Georgia .
