Gamma Doradus is a main sequence star of the spectral class F1 and the third brightest star in the constellation Swordfish (Latin Dorado ). It is located at a distance of about 67 light years and has an apparent magnitude of about 4.3 magnitudes.

Gamma Doradus is a pulsation variable star . It pulsates non-radially in two coupled sinus period parts of 17.5 and 18.1 hours. Gamma Doradus is the prototype and namesake of the Gamma Doradus mutable .
