The Gangchempo located in the Langtang National Park in the central Himalayas in Nepal Administrative Region Bagmati .
The 6387 m high mountain is located in the rear southern part of the Langtang valley . Tilman's Pass , a mountain pass discovered by the English mountaineer Bill Tilman in 1950, runs at its rear . Dorje Lhakpa is located 10 km east of Gangchempo .
The Gangchempo was first climbed by a Nepalese expedition over the southwest ridge in 1990.
