Passage grave of Klein Görnow
The passage grave of Klein Görnow , a district of Sternberg in the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , is an east-west oriented, excavated and reconstructed passage grave in 1966 by Ewald Schuldt (1914–1987) in a round rolling stone hill with the Sprockhoff no . 336. The trapezoidal complex was built between 3500 and 2800 BC. BC as a megalithic system of the funnel beaker culture (TBK).
The facility is located in the forest to the east of the connecting road (Hünengrabstraße) from Klein Görnow to Groß Görnow, behind the junction to Eickelberg.
Of the approximately 8.0 m long, 1.8 m high and 1.6 to 2.2 m wide chamber of the large stone grave , all 14 supporting stones and 6 cap stones (two of them with 20 or seven bowls ) have been preserved. The largest and outer capstone also has three artificial elongated depressions. Both pairs of bearing stones without cap stones have been preserved from the short corridor facing south in the center. The floorboard is made of clay screed . The archaeological investigation showed that the facility was used by the bearers of the individual grave culture . In addition to charcoal, human bones and 25 broken fragments, there were two wide-mouthed vessels, a sandstone disk , a funnel cup, a shoulder vessel , a bowl and a single burial cup.
