Garda Irmen , nee Irmgard Schwarz, married Irmgard Kaufmann, also Kaufmann-Irmen ( 1874 in Baden near Vienna - March 21, 1938 in Vienna ) was an Austrian theater actress .

Life

In Ludwig Eisenberg's lexicon of actors, she is listed as the daughter of the Africa researcher Paul Reichard , but there is no other evidence for this. After graduating from the conservatory in Vienna (she was a student of Bernhard Baumeister ), she was engaged in the Deutsches Volkstheater (season 1892/93) and in Innsbruck , then in Nuremberg. From there she came to the Stadttheater in Mainz and then to the Frankfurt Stadttheater , where she made her debut as “Vittorino” in “Famous Woman” (1897).

Of the various roles that she performed with luck, her "Ännchen" in Die Jugend should be mentioned, as well as "Lilli" in Cirkus People , "Rita" in Talisman , "Mizzi Schlager" in Liebelei and the "Innkeeper" in Fuhrmann Henschel .

She was married to the internist Rudolf Kaufmann.
