Garipçe is a village in the Sarıyer district of the Turkish province of İstanbul . According to the last census, Garipçe had 340 inhabitants (as of December 2010). Garipçe is located at the exit of the Bosporus into the Black Sea , on the European side of the strait.
According to the Turkish government, the left pillar of the third Bosphorus Bridge, the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge , is to stand here. The pillar on the right is said to be in the village of Poyraz on the Asian side. The bridge was completed on March 6, 2016.
