Former Gasthof Reiber in Bernbach

The Gasthof Reiber in Bernbach , a district of the municipality of Aichen in the Swabian district of Günzburg in Bavaria , was built around 1875. The former inn with house number 5, directly opposite the St. Joseph chapel in the upper part of the hamlet, was entered as a protected architectural monument in the list of architectural monuments in Aichen .

description

The two-storey Einfirsthof is an elongated and gable-free inn with stables and a barn . The plastered saddle roof structure is accessed on the eaves side . After the dining room with kitchen, pantry and side room, a room with a completely preserved bread oven followed to the west. Living and dining rooms were located on the upper floor.

The construction-time equipment is almost completely preserved: Solnhofen slabs in the stitch flez (corridor), four-wing windows with cross-frame, inner sandstone cornices on the windows, carved balusters on the single-flight staircase, fretwork on the segmental arched roof windows as well as coniferous wood doors and four-panel doors in the living rooms that have a stencil painting exhibit.

The stables consisted of a former horse stable with a three-aisled and two yoke Bohemian cap vaults over cast iron columns. This is followed by the former cowshed, also with three aisles and five yokes. The barn with a large passage through the tennis courts follows.

The associated delivery building (house no. 6) was demolished around 1990.
