Gatlin Kate James , née Green (born July 7, 1997 in Nashville , Tennessee ) is an American actress and singer-songwriter .

Early years and careers

Gatlin Green was born in Nashville. She has one older and three younger brothers. At the age of four, she was in front of the camera for commercials. With her older brother Cooper Green, who also works occasionally as an actor, she forms the folk duo Cooper & Gatlin , which has already released a few songs.

She first appeared in front of the camera in 2005 at the age of eight in the film Daltry Calhoun . She appeared mostly in short films for the next several years before she was cast as Emily Duval for the miniseries Heroes Reborn in 2015 . She then appeared in Criminal Minds , Liv and Maddie , Astrid Clover and Roommates . In 2017 she appeared in a promotional video for the American Heart Association and was also seen in the independent film Flock of Four . In 2018 she appeared in a guest role on the Code Black series .

Personal

In 2017 she married the actor Austin James and has had his last name ever since. The two run a channel on the YouTube platform under the name Gatlin & Austin James , on which they upload vlogs about their lives. In her acting appearances, James continues to be listed under the name Gatlin Green.
