The Gauliga Danzig-West Prussia 1942/43 (officially: Gauklasse Danzig-West Prussia 1942/43 ) was the third season of the Gauliga Danzig-West Prussia of the Football Department . SG Neufahrwasser won the Gaume Championship, which was held in a round-robin tournament, with one point ahead of LSV Danzig and thus qualified for the German soccer championship 1942/43 . After Neufahrwasser lost 3-1 to VfB Königsberg away in the first round , the team was actually already eliminated. Königsberg reached the second round, which could be won with 5: 1 and qualified for the quarter-finals. For this, however, the Königsbergers were excluded because they had used an ineligible player in the game against Neufahrwasser. SV Neufahrwasser benefited from this decision and was therefore allowed to take part in the quarter-finals instead of Königsberg. Opponent was the future German soccer champion Dresdner SC and SV Neufahrwasser lost only 0: 4, which can be seen as a success in view of the performance of the other clubs from the Gauliga Danzig-West Prussia at the German soccer championships.

Defending champions HSV Unteroffiziersschule Marienwerder as well as SG OrPo Danzig and SC Wacker Schidlitz withdrew from the league during the season .
