The Gauliga Oberschlesien 1941/42 (officially: Sports Area Class Oberschlesien 1941/42 ) was the first season of the Gauliga Oberschlesien of the football department . Due to the war, some Gauligen were subdivided in order to save fuel and transport capacity, including the Gauliga Schlesien , which was divided into the Gauliga Lower Silesia and the Gauliga Upper Silesia from this season onwards. In this league the teams from the eastern area of the previous Gauliga Silesia were divided, six teams from the Gauliga season 1940/41 and four promoted teams from the district classes competed against each other. FV Germania Königshütte secured the championship with a three point lead over Bismarckhütter SV 99 . The relegation ranks occupied the Reichsbahn SG Myslowitz and the SC Preußen Hindenburg . WSG Sportfreunde Knurow and LSV Adler Tarnowitz rose from the district leagues .
