The Gauliga Oberschlesien 1943/44 (officially: Sports Area Class Oberschlesien 1943/44 ) was the third season of the Gauliga Oberschlesien of the football department . Once again the Gauliga was played with ten teams in a round-robin tournament with a return leg. After the end of the regular season, three teams were tied, so the Football Department decided to play an additional single round between these three teams on neutral spots. In this, the FV Germania Königshütte was able to prevail and was thus for the third time Gaumeister of Upper Silesia. This qualified the Gliwice for the German soccer championship 1943/44 , in which the team was eliminated again in the first round. This time the Gleiwitzer defeated the defending champion Dresdner SC away with 2: 9. The WSG Sportfreunde Knurow and the Beuthener SuSV 09 withdrew from the Gauliga after the season due to the war. WKG Römergrube Rybnik and TuS Scharley rose from the district leagues .
