The Gauliga middle 1943/44 was the eleventh season of the Gauliga middle as the top division of the Gau middle (Gau VI).
The championship was secured for the sixth and last time by SV Dessau 05 with nine points ahead of SpVgg 02 Erfurt . The record champions qualified again for the final round of the German championship , but dropped out again in the first round. In this penultimate Gauliga season there was no relegation, as a modification was decided and implemented for the next year. The league's game operations were subdivided into 5 districts, but the end of the league could no longer be held due to the war.
