The district class Halle-Merseburg 1935/36 was the third season of the second-class district class Halle-Merseburg, which has been functioning as a substructure for the Gauliga Mitte (VI) since 1933 . The Gauliga relegated SV Merseburg 1899 secured the championship title of the series in a relatively sovereign manner and then realized the immediate promotion to the highest class of the Gaues Mitte. Last year's champion, VfL Halle 96 , took second place ahead of the Gauliga Co. relegated VfL 1911 Bitterfeld . Since this year the peculiarity of two relegated from the top class, as well as the simultaneous failure of last year's title holder of the district class coincided, the game year was played as a novelty with 14 clubs. That is why they agreed on three relegated teams in the district classes before the start of the season in order to minimize the number again for the coming seasons. The sports fans from Naundorf achieved a strong fourth place as a climber, ahead of the established class competitors from Zeitz, Weißenfels, Halle, Ammendorf and Naumburg. The three relegated players of the season crystallized very early on. SpVg Neumark landed in last place. On the way down, they were accompanied by both Wacker teams from Mückenberg and Nordhausen. As usual, the champions of the districts played the promotion among themselves, although the Merseburg VfL and VfB Zscherndorf proved to be too strong for their three other competitors. This season was last played in the circles under the usual circle name. For the 1936/37 season, a district name reform was ordered in the Halle-Merseburg district . Two of the five sub-circles have been renamed. For this purpose, previously existing border lines between the regions were drawn slightly differently. (also in Thuringia)
