The district class Magdeburg-Anhalt 1935/36 was the third season of the second-class district class Magdeburg-Anhalt, which has been functioning as a substructure for the Gauliga Mitte since 1933 . The league was played this season with only eleven clubs in a round-robin tournament with a return leg, as last year's winner SV Dessau 05 had achieved the acclaimed promotion, but no Gauliga club from the Mittegau district region was relegated. The FC Viktoria Stendal as a form-stable runner-up last year, could this season with just a single point ahead of the surprisingly strong climber FC Prussia Castle secure the district championship. Later, in the promotion round to Gauliga Mitte , Altmark representative Stendal then failed at FC Thuringia Weida and SV Merseburg 99 and thus missed the longed-for promotion for the coming season relatively clearly. The twin-like Magdeburg "Brotherhood" from Fortuna & Preussen floated in lockstep with evenly balanced points through the relay room. Viktoria 03 Zerbst and FC Germania from Halberstadt escaped the fall into the lower class. The Altmark impressively confirmed its dominant position in this era. A total of four places in the top three within the last two years. The only thing missing was promotion to the Gauliga, as the last real coronation. SV Bernburg 07 and newcomer FC Askania 1900 Aschersleben were disaffected and relegated to the Anhalt and Harz districts.
VfB 1906 Schönebeck and FC 1915 Mildensee won promotion, both of which left SpVgg 04 Thale just behind.
