Venues of the district class Erfurt-Thuringia 1936/37 (blue = master / yellow = relegated) |
The district class Thuringia 1936/37 was the fourth season of the second-rate district class Thuringia , which functions as a substructure for the Gauliga Mitte (VI) . Again, the league was played in round- robin mode with a round-trip leg with twelve clubs. In addition to the two newcomers from the district classes, SV 08 Steinach and SC Erfurt 1895 were relegated to the Gauliga, which seldom happened in this tandem form throughout the decade.
The SC Erfurt 1895 then dominated the class relatively confidently and in the end had a proud six points ahead of its Co.-Gauliga relegated SV 08 Steinach . The team from Erfurt also successfully completed the subsequent round of promotion to the Gauliga in mid-1937 / 38 , so that the club was immediately promoted to the highest Gau class. Both newcomers, Eintracht 08 Altenburg and SC Apolda , came in on the impressive places five and six. The Sonneberg city rivals, the 04er from 1. FC and SC Osterlind 06, saved themselves from losing their class. The SV 04 Schmalkalden and the SV 1910 Kahla had to end of the season in the county classes Henneberg , or Weimar descend. They were replaced by the champions of the district classes from Weimar : VfB 09 Pößneck & Osterland : FSV Rositz.
