Venues of the district class Erfurt-Thuringia 1934/35 (blue = champions / yellow = relegated) |
The district class Erfurt-Thuringia 1934/35 was the second season of the second-class district class Thuringia, which served as a substructure for the Gauliga Mitte (Gau VI) . Again, the season was contested with twelve clubs in the tried and tested mode. Last year's winner 1. FC 1907 Lauscha was again able to secure the district championship. This time with two points ahead of FC Thuringia Weida . In the usual promotion round to Gauliga in mid-1935/36 , Lauscha prevailed alongside SV Dessau 05 against VfL Halle 96 and was promoted to the higher class for the coming season. Both newcomers from Schmalkalden and Sonneberg occupied safe midfield positions. At the end of the season, FC Wacker Gotha and SC Stadtilm relegated to the district class Wartburg and Northern Thuringia . In the relegation round of the district class champions, VfB 1910 Apolda and VfB Sömmerda then conquered the places that allowed them to advance to the district class. In Thuringia, too, the reform of the soccer game classes, which was redesigned two years ago, has proven itself and its tighter structure has garnered extensive approval and support everywhere.
