The district class Halle-Merseburg 1934/35 was the second season of the second-class district class Halle-Merseburg, which had been the substructure of the Gauliga Mitte (VI) since 1933 . The later two-time season winner VfL Halle 1896 prevailed as champions, but then failed in the promotion games to Gauliga Mitte at the favored SV Dessau 05 and the strong 1. FC Lauscha . The season was completed again in a round-robin tournament mode with round-trip matches. Runner-up was local rival SV Halle 98 , who was only one point away. SpVg Neumark completed the league leader triad of the year, ahead of the surprise team from Zeitz. In the end, both Weißenfels clubs took a secure midfield position. Wacker 05 Nordhausen referred Borussia from Halle to the first relegated place. The sports group from Torgau was an outsider as a newcomer and had absolutely no chance from the start when it came to holding the league. Since the Sportfreunde Halle were able to achieve promotion to the Gauliga relatively convincingly in the previous year, the ambitious Zeitzer Sportvereinigung was also able to prove itself as the third newcomer in 1910 , alongside the Ammendorfer and Torgauers . After the regular season, the sports fans Naundorf and Wacker Mückenberg prevailed as members of the district class for the coming season in a compact five-man relegation round, played over a whole 9 weeks. Both left behind the actually favored Saale district champion VfB Schkeuditz , who after a false start in the final sprint was only able to achieve a disappointing and unprofitable 3rd place in the round in the final sprint.
