The district class Magdeburg-Anhalt 1936/37 was the fourth season of the second-class district class Magdeburg-Anhalt, which has been functioning as a substructure for the Gauliga Mitte VI since 1933 . The league was played again this season with only eleven clubs in round-robin tournament mode with return matches. After last year's formidable third place, the championship was won by 1. FC Saxonia 07 Tangermünde from the far north of the Gau. A really brilliant performance if you know about the sporting possibilities of the relatively sparsely populated Altmark. With an impressive lead of five points, FC Preußen 02 Burg was relegated to the runner-up position. As the defending champion, Stendaler FC 09 Viktoria was not able to seamlessly follow up on the pre-season performance. Both of the relegated teams in this season came from Staßfurt and Wernigerode, from more southern regions of the Middle-Gaus. Rather curious about it: The Staßfurter descended even with a clearly positive goal difference. Both climbers from Schönebeck and the small Dessau district of Mildensee fought their way to the bottom of the table early on and had nothing to do with the immediate relegation. Both Magdeburg major clubs, FV Fortuna and MSC Prussia 99, which were formerly in much higher league spheres, were again behind the leading duo and once again failed to fully meet the high, horrific demands. The table currently shows a not yet determined winning result from Stendal over Schönebeck, the occurrence of which is documented, but the concrete ratio of which has yet to be determined.

The promotion places to the district class first won the SV Wacker Bernburg and after two unsuccessful attempts, the SpVgg 04 Thale .
