1st class venues in Erfurt-Thuringia 1941/42 (red = relay west) / gray = frwg. Withdrawal (blue = relay south) / green = relay master, yellow = relegated and new integration |
The 1st class Erfurt-Thuringia 1941/42 was the ninth season of the second class district class Thuringia , which functions as a substructure for the Gauliga Mitte . The league was again played in two seasons, ( West & South ), each with 7 clubs. Special feature : The SC Apolda , (Gauliga relegated), withdrew its team after the 2nd matchday from the 1st class game operation of the West Season , which started with 8 clubs in the series.
The Spvg 02 Erfurt won the season West , the SC 06 Oberlind the Season South . According to the departmental division decision, only the winner of the relay west was entitled to take part in the promotion relegation. That is why the Erfurt Spielvereinigung 02 subsequently took part as the sole district representative in the promotion round to the Gauliga in mid-1942/ 43 and prevailed in this sportingly undisputed against the FV Sportfreunde Halle and the FV Fortuna Magdeburg . From the season West , VfB 04 Erfurt rose from bottom of the table. The SV 1899 Mulhouse pulled the eligibility just before the start of the next season because of war-related executives and resources shortage back. From the season south , VfL 07 Neustadt / Coburg was delegated back to Bavaria. Geographically and sport-politically motivated, the specialist office of the Gau Mitte Association instructed the representative of the Kyffhäuser district to delegate the LSV Nordhausen military sports club from the Halle-Merseburg district to Erfurt-Thuringia at the beginning of the 1942/43 season . Thus, the club then entered the 1st class Thuringia (North relay) . A district championship promotion round was not played.

The traditional final table is inconsistent in this form, since the game results determined from the newspaper and the book information were combined with one another in order not to have to unnecessarily curtail more extensive statistics, the precision of which is unknown in this case. Point-and-goal balances are therefore not mathematically correct.
