The district class Halle-Merseburg 1935/36 was the fourth season of the second-class district class Halle-Merseburg, which has been the substructure of the Gauliga Mitte (VI) since 1933 . The VfL Halle 1896 was an impressive B.K. champion, now for the second time, who , in contrast to two years ago, was able to move up to the Gauliga as the first in the promotion round this season. VfL Bitterfeld secured the runner-up title, with a remarkable point lead over the SF from Naundorf. On the ranks four and six, both newcomers from Merseburg and Zscherndorf came in, which represented a really impressive addition to the class. On the other hand, Ammendorfer FC and SV Halle 98 could not set any sensational accents, but were also never in danger of relegation. Prussia 01 Merseburg saved itself late, but then relatively comfortably from the sporty decline. The black and yellow from Weißenfels were again able to avoid relegation, which the local rival from gymnastics and lawn sports did not succeed. The city in the narrow Saale valley, for the first time after the league reform, now only provided one team for one district class season next year. Her gait, next to that of the Naumburg 05er in the district classes, became apparent early on. In the end, both of them occupied the ranks in the table cellar by a good margin. In the next season's relegation round, SV Holzweißig and the traditional Halle-based Borussia 02 prevailed against their opponents. So the next season was played with 12 clubs.
