The Gauliga middle 1936/37 was the fourth season of the Gauliga middle as the top division of the Gau middle (Gau VI).
The championship was secured for the first time by SV Dessau 05 with an eight point lead, after taking 7th place as a promoter last year, ahead of this year's newcomer FC Thuringia Weida . The Muldestädter thus qualified sovereignly for the final round of the German championship and were eliminated there after the early group stage. The relegation ranks were occupied by Hallescher FC Wacker and Magdeburg FC Viktoria 1896 . VfL Halle 1896 and SC Erfurt 1895 took their place for next year's season as relegation winners.
