from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The BSG Traktor Teuchern was a company sports community in the small town of Teuchern . After the reunification, the SV Teuchern 1910 eV was spun off from the BSG.

The SV Teuchern 1910 is one of the largest clubs in the region with around 300 members. He offers sports such as soccer , volleyball , gymnastics , table tennis , archery , karate and bowling . The Friedrich Ludwig Jahn Stadium with a capacity of 3000 spectators is available to him.

Structural development

The SV Teuchern has its historical origins in the "Teuchern Football Club" founded in 1910. After the First World War and the addition of other sports, the "Sports Association 1910 Teuchern" was founded in the summer of 1919. After the end of the Second World War, the sports association, like all sports associations in the Soviet occupation zone, had to be dissolved at the instigation of the occupying power. For several years, sport in Teuchern was practiced in a loosely organized sports community. From 1948, sports in East Germany were reorganized on the basis of company sports associations (BSG), and the first agricultural production cooperatives (LPG) emerged in the GDR in the early 1950s . These were the prerequisites for the "BSG Traktor" to be founded in Teuchern in 1951. The carrier company was the local LPG. According to the regulations, the BSG had to offer a wide range of sports, and so sections for football, bowling, boxing, billiards, gymnastics and gymnastics were created. While the boxing, gymnastics and billiards sections were later discontinued, the new sports volleyball, badminton and karate were added over the years. After the political change in 1989 and the associated economic changes, the system of company sports associations could no longer be continued. BSG members then founded the new club "SV Teuchern 1910", which continued the sports of the previous BSG.

The soccer teams of both the soccer club and the Teuchern sports association only played at district level. Even after the Second World War, the sports community did not reach the level of the district championships. It was not until 1955 that the BSG tractor was promoted to the then fourth-class Halle district league , but was immediately relegated to the district class. 1957 succeeded the rise for the second time, and then Teuchern could assert themselves with placements in the middle field in the district league until 1967. From 1963 the district league was 3rd division in the GDR football system. In 1966, the BSG tractor was able to reach seventh place in the southern relay, but could not cope with the subsequent reduction to one relay and in 1967 rose again as bottom of the table in the district class. By the end of GDR football in 1990, the return to the third division was no longer possible.

In the football season 1955 the BSG Traktor Teuchern was able to present itself for three games on a republic-wide level. By participating in the final in the Halle Football District Cup in 1954, the tractor drivers qualified for the 1954/55 GDR Football Cup competition . In the first round, the district class representative defeated the district league team BSG Chemie Triptis 3: 1. In the second round Teuchern had to compete with the Dresden district class representative BSG Chemie Radebeul and won there with 4: 1. On January 9, 1955, in the round of the last 22 teams, Traktor Teuchern met the GDR upper division club SC Dynamo Berlin . In front of 3,000 spectators on their own pitch, the team, which was able to hold a 1-1 draw until half-time, finally lost 3-1. In 1957, Tractor Teuchern failed in the first main round at SC Lok Leipzig .

After the introduction of the DFB soccer game operation in East Germany, SV Teuchern rose in 1991 to the then fifth-class district league Thuringia (later the state league). Relegation could be secured until 1999, but after the 1999/2000 season Teuchern had to relegate to the national class. After nine years, the final place 10th was again not enough to stay in the league, the SV Teuchern rose in 2009 from the 9th regional league Burgenland. In the following season he was able to return to the national class as Burgenland champion. In the 2013/14 season, the club had to relegate bottom of the table in the national class. The club has been playing in the district league since 2017.
