The Gauliga Württemberg 1943/44 was the eleventh and penultimate season of the Gauliga Württemberg in football. The championship was surprisingly won by newcomer SV Göppingen led by striker Hermann Vetter (17 goals) with one point ahead of the Stuttgarter Kickers . The SV Göppingen qualified for the final round of the German championship , where it failed in the first round at the Saarbrücken war game community. Due to the division of the Gauliga into several seasons in the 1944/45 season, there were no relegated teams.
After the Gauliga was split up in the coming season, the promotion round has become superfluous, as all clubs still capable of playing have been included in the top division. Originally only SpVgg 08 Schramberg and Sportfreunde Esslingen qualified .
