The Gauliga Schleswig-Holstein 1943/44 was the second season of the Gauliga Schleswig-Holstein of the German Football Association . The Gauliga Schleswig-Holstein was played again this season in a group of ten teams. The Gau championship secured Holstein Kiel for the second time and qualified for the German football championship in 1943/44 . There Kiel prevailed in the first round against SV Dessau 05 3-2 after extra time. In the following round of 16, however, Kiel were eliminated 2-4 against Hertha BSC .
