The SV Ellerbek was a sports club from the Ellerbek district of Kiel . The first soccer team played for three years in the Gauliga Schleswig-Holstein .

history

The association was formed on February 22, 1922 as a spin-off from Ellerbeker TV 1886 . Initially, the club became known for its battering department , whose men's team was national champions three times and the women's team once. The SVE footballers were accepted into the newly created Gauliga Schleswig-Holstein in 1942. There they reached fourth place in the 1943/44 season . After the Second World War , the SVE played in the second highest division of Schleswig-Holstein between 1949 and 1968. After many years at the district level, new successes could only be achieved in the early 1980s . 1985 succeeded in returning to the district league, which was followed a year later by marching through to the regional league . In 1988 the SVE was promoted to the Schleswig-Holstein Association League .

There the Ellerbeker soaring was stopped. Because of the goal difference that was one goal worse than at NTSV Strand 08 , the Kiel team promptly dismounted. In 1992 he was relegated to the district league. Two rises in a row broke the Ellerbeker back into the association league. In 1999, the club reached its sporting zenith in sixth place, before financial problems caused the crash. Just a year later, the club withdrew the team from the current game operations and started a fresh start in the district league. After the team crashed into the district class, the SVE played in the district league Kiel since 2010 .

In the 2012/13 season, the SVE played in a syndicate with SC Comet Kiel in the Association League North-East. In May 2013, both clubs merged to form SVE Comet Kiel .
