The Gaznat SA , based in Lausanne is a Swiss power company . It procures and transports natural gas for the partners involved in western Switzerland .
Gaznat operates its own high-pressure pipeline network around 600 kilometers in length in Switzerland. Gazoduc Suisse Romand forms the backbone of the pipeline network .
The company was founded on March 12, 1968 by seven regional energy suppliers and municipalities:
