Geílson de Carvalho Soares (born April 10, 1984 in Cuiabá ) is a Brazilian football player.

Career

The 1.84 meter tall striker began his career at Athletico Paranaense , where he was under contract from 2000 to 2001. In the second season he rose to Serie A , but did not play any league games in the first year. After two seasons he switched to Mixto EC . After the season he was loaned from Albirex Niigata for 2003 and played two league games. He then moved to SC Internacional .

In 2004 he moved to FC Santos , but initially did not appear in the league. In 2005 he played 27 league games and scored ten goals. After three years he was loaned from the Saudi Arabian club Al Hazm , for which he completed 18 league games in the 2006/07 season and scored six times. His next stop was in 2007 on loan from his old youth club Athletico Paranaense , where Geílson played eight league games. He then played 30 league games for Náutico Capibaribe and scored eight goals. In the 2010/11 season he signed a contract with Guarani FC and played four league games. After the season he was loaned to ABC Natal for the 2011/12 season , played twelve league games and scored one goal. He then went on loan to Santa Cruz FC and scored eight goals in 15 league games.

After eight years at FC Santos , he signed a contract with the Iranian club Tractor Sazi Tabriz , for which he played 13 league games from 2012 to 2013 and scored two goals. Geílson then worked for Mixto EC , Al-Riffa SC (Saudi Arabia), Operário FC (MT) , Cuiabá EC and CA Votuporanguense , where he is still under contract.
